Guys Thanks for the effort everyone put in today guys. I can't praise you enough for your spirit under pressure. We will do better. For the youths we have a couple of weeks to get things right - including working on anti-blitz tactics and tightening up on the play calls from the sidelines. I accept responsibility for that and am already working on adjusting some plays and reducing the number of plays to one armband. I discussed this with Dave after the game and we both agree we need to do some work on this. I know Dave will also have some things to say on defence. The seniors have a big game next week but I know we can do better. Again it was a great effort against a tough team but with a bit luck we could have turned it. To the guys who didn't get much playing time, I am sorry, but things didn't quite go as we planned and that messed with our gameplan/options. Remember, we are all in this for the long haul and we have a bit to go yet. So let's not get down...let's get angry (or fired up...you choose!) p.s. Thanks also to the Cheeries for braving the weather and us. p.p.s Thanks also to the supporters and the caterers!!!

Hey lets not forget that we were beaten by very good, well organised teams today especially the Broncos Youth.
The score however flattered them IMHO, we had no luck whatsoever the bal lthat bounced off of Adams hand into the hands of the Broncos player in the EZ was just one point of fact.
I was delighted with the attitude of both teams...never resorting to dirty tactics and cheap shots like some teams we have played in the past......The Seniors are in my opinion not far away from being a good team but both teams need to work on basics, tackling, reading defenses...nothing major though
I agree with Gordon, that we need to reduce the plays and keep things simple, that will be donr before the next game and a tweak or two on defense wouldnt go amiss.
Thanks to everyone who came out and watched and to Scottie and John who officiated the Senior game...took a lot of balls for Scottie to do the game injured so thanks for that.
Finally a thanks to the Broncos who gave us two hard , fair games
BIG game next week for the Seniors in bandit country!!
Stats are posted on the site for those of a nervous disposition...thanks to Ian for great work again

Hey dave, what's the deal with game next week? When and where do we meet up? Need to know cos earliest bus on sunday from inverurie get's to bus station at 10.05am. Can't get lift from folks cos they'll be in Perth. Is this a problem? If you're leaving inverdee at 10am you could maybe go via station and pick me up there. Let me know asap, other than that i'm fine for game.

Bus LEAVES Duthie Park at 10 am as stated on the correct board.....kick off is at 1pm so we need to leave at 10 unless you can sort something out with Mike to get picked up or something.....it will take us approx 2 hrs to get to Kirkcaldy....20 mins to find the park again!! ...that only gives us 40 mins before the game hence the 10 am leave time
