Coaches Set Date for Next Senior National Trial
The next trials date has been set for Saturday March 18th 2006.
Would all players interested in taking part please e-mail or PM Coach Fletcher with their intentions.
The venue for the trials will most likely be at Airdrie's Leisure Complex and the new all weather facilities at St. Margret's High School which is adjacent to the Leisure Complex.
The trials will start at 10.00am and will continue until 2.00pm. The coaches will be assessing player's speed and stamina along with their playing abilities both in offense and defence.
Players are advised to wear their full club uniform to the practice and bring pen and paper. If full club uniform is not available players should wear plain blue, white or grey. The practice will be on grass (warn up and drills) astroturf (scrimmage) so appropriate footwear should be worn.
Gum-shields are mandatory and clothing must not have pockets. (No excuses)
There will be a charge of £5 that players must pay to try out. If selected there will be a charge of £5 at each practice.
Important: All players will be expected to show enthusiasm, dedication to the squad at all time. They will be expexted to show respect to their fellow players and to the coachingstaff at all times. They must answer emails, letters and phone calls clearly and ina timely manner. A good team is based on good communication and a willingness to learn and develop! We will also be expecting players to give continued dedication to their local team throughout their tenure with the national sqaud.
Please note that this will be the final opportunity for players to try out for the 2006 squad.
