Carolina are a class team coming good at the right time..
..There we go, now I've said it just watch as they lose all of their remaining games! (Just kidding)
Nah I'm hoping Carolina go all the way at least to the NFC Championship game.
Last year had it not been for injuries they would have gone deep into the playoffs again and this year they're really starting to show that this year. They have had a few slip ups but to be fair they were against a Dolphins team who can, have and will continue to 'cause upsets with their tough defense and steady offense and the Saints On Tour who were playing their first competitie game after all the goings on in New Orleans and were more pumped than a Monster Truck tyre.
I agree totally with Dave that the Pats/Colts game tonight is probably THE game of the season, it's a must see. On one hand you have the Patriots avec Teddi Bruschi once again who can really haul themselves back onto people's Superbowl radars if they win tonight, on the other you have the Colts who have really been something else this season, particularly on defense, who can stamp their authority on the league and confirm the shift of power.
The difference tonight from past Pats/Colts games?..The Colts defense..It's gonna be some game!
Here's my playoff predictions:
AFC
Division Winners: Colts, Pats, Broncos, Steelers
Wild Cards: Chargers, Jaguars/Bengals
Strong Finish/Dark Horses: Dolphins (If New England were to crumble, which is a big if, the Phins will be waiting in the wings with their strong D and what's fast becoming a top running game)
NFC
Division Winners: Giants, Panthers, Bears, Seahawks
Wild Cards: Cowboys, Falcons/Bucs
Strong Finish/Dark Horses: Take your pick! If Chris Simms can play like he did in the first half Sunday and Cadillac returns from being missing in action they might just make it to the playoffs, helped by their Defense. Washington or Philly can still make it though the next few weeks will be big for them, especially the latter. You never know with the Rams, but it would take a strong finish and a wild card spot to see them in me thinks, and the Lions are still in with a shout. Team to watch at the moment though is the Vikings. They put up points against a tough Lions defense at the weekend and Johnson looks like he could well make a difference. Their defense will need to step up though if they are to make the playoffs, a reach yes but in the next few weeks that could seem less and less of a reach.
AFC Championship Game: Colts Vs Broncos (Or poossibly Chargers or Patriots)
NFC Championship Game: Giants Vs Panthers (Or Possibly Seahawks or Bears <-- There's logic behind that one)
Superbowl: Colts Vs Any of the above!
Phew that was a long post!
