Woo.........pay attention cos this may get confusing. Apparently JJ want McFadden in the draft BADLY!!....there are a few rumours doing the rounds....the first on pops up almost everwhere
1. Dallas trade with Atlanta. Dallas get DeAngelo Hall, the third overall pick and Atlantas second rounder (#37)...Atlanta would get both of the Cowboys first rounders (#22 and #28) and Marion Barber III (another version of this is that Roy Williams goes to ATL instead of MBIII)
2. Dallas trade with Atlanta. Dallas get Hall and both Atlantas second rounders, Atlanta get pick #22, Akin Ayodele and Anthony Henry
3. Dallas multiple trade with Miami. Works out at something like Dallas get #1 overall, Miami get both Cowboys first rounders, Bobby Carpenter, Anthony Fasano and Marcus Spears
4. Shaun Rogers is on JJ's radar, but with the roster bonus he is due from the Lions (and hes not gonna get it) he will be released in March........despite Matt Millens claims that there are a dozen teams interested in a trade....Denver are the only other team showing an intrest
5. Roy Williams from the Lions is another one who is on the Cowboys wanted list first indications that the Lions wanted a second rounder.it may be up to a first rounder now with the intrest created...although there is another vet higher up and in talks with JJ.........its unlikely to be Randy Moss, who has stated that he only wants to play for the Pats or Dallas....but who knows!!
Personally Im not sold on the Hall trade..........hes not as good as he thinks he is and will want a massive contract.....TNew is up for remewal as well amd the cap room to pat two CB's Nate Clements esque cash is cap suicide Plus the fact that TO and Hall have a spotted kinda history

The Cowboys might not need to trade up to as high as #3 to get McFadden. A lot of experts are saying that he won't go in the top ten, and that he may not even be the top running back selected.
However, one team that might end up picking McFadden in the top 10 is Oakland at pick #4, which is why the Cowboys are targeting the Falcons' #3 pick.
I like McFadden, but I'm not sure if I'd want the Raiders to draft him. We've already got Fargas who's beginning to show his potential, plus maybe the beast that is Michael Bush if he can recover from his leg break. Having McFadden too would make one hell of a backfield, but I can't help but think that there are many other areas where we could do with spending a first round pick. I wouldn't even mind if we traded the pick for a later 1st rounder and more picks in the 2nd or 3rd round.
The thing is though, as some early mock drafts that I've read have pointed out, that Al Davis has a history of picking the big name player in the draft, even if the Raiders don't actually have a desperate need for a player at that position. So it's not so unreasonable to see McFadden going to the Raiders at #4 if he's still around then, even if he's not ranked anywhere near the top 5 players in the draft.
From the trades above, Roy Williams from the Lions sounds like the best one for the Cowboys, especially if they can get him for a 2nd round pick. Although Marinelli's said that he doesn't want Williams to get traded, it's not always up to the coach at the end of the day.

Eagles are keeping their cards close to their chest, but there seems to be a serious amount of talk between other teams about possible trades - tho no clue yet was to which - there a couple rumours flying around such as Asante Samuel and Gibril Wilson - but then anyone looking for a CB will want Samuel - Larry Fitzgerald is another option Philly are supposedly looking at.
I tend not to pay much attention to rumours like this (would love Samuel to join, but don't know how realistic that is). One thing for sure tho, Eagles deffo have an idea or two of who they want and for what.
As for the draft? The main needs are CB, DE and eventually OT - it's also pretty likely Eagles will want a kick returner. Desean Jackson (WR) is a common suggestion in Mock drafts, given that it would address both special teams and a potential playmaker at WR.
I wouldn't be surprised, tho, if Eagles go for a DE for the left side to compliment Trent Cole on the other side and increase the sack count. For CB and OT I would imagine they would be addressed in later rounds - CB maybe in the 2nd if it's not been taken care of, and OT probably 3rd/4th at earliest. Any OTs would be drafted for next year when Runyan et al eventually call it a day.

I'd be very surprised to see Larry Fitzgerald traded this offseason, the Cardinals know how big a part of their team he is so, unless it's a real blockbuster, I don't see it happening.
Samuel and Wilson are possibilities though. It looks fairly certain that Samuel will test the Free Agency market, so the Eagles will have as good a chance as any of getting him.
Just going back to the Dallas and Atlanta trades, it would be very interesting to see if Atlanta would go for the trades or not. They're widely predicted to take Matt Ryan with the #3 pick to be their QB of the future. If they do a trade though then Ryan will likely go to Baltimore and Falcons would probably be looking at Brian Brohm, Joe Flacco or Andre' Woodson, with Brohm probably being the only other one that might go in round 1.
I could see this one going right down to the draft day. There's a chance Miami will take Ryan with the #1 pick. If that were to happen I could see Atlanta being much more interested in trading with Dallas to get more draft picks so that they can address other areas of need.
They may even choose to hold out for the return of Mike Vick, but that's unlikely given that it'll probably be 2 seasons away and it remains to be seen whether or not he'll even be reinstated by the league once his jail time is up.
Unless the Falcons could find a veteran QB through Free Agency?

don't expect Fitzgerald to be traded either - I know the Cards are trying to restructure his current deal to be spread over a longer period to free up Cap room - tho it seems he doesn't see why he should not earn the chunk of cash he's due this year - simply a case of people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.
and on the subject of 'Big Ds' Javon Kearse has just been released by the Eagles - I'm not too surprised by this - he's in the same kinda situation as Trotter was last year - a great player who made things happen, but he just doesn't play at the same level as he used to - Eagles clearly weren't confident enough he'd pull thru in the new season.
This also puts DE as the Top Priority for Philly - unless they've got a deal 'struck' with someone in the next few days, or they've seen what they want from a Draft prospect at the Combine. Either way, it shows the coaching team have a lot of faith in the fairly young bunch of guys on the D-line.
