Why would the Cowboys fans support the Eagles? Why would the Cowboys fans support the Cheatriots?
All of the Cowboys fans that I have contact with detest both of these teams with a passion

I wouldn't be saying that in my mind The Cowboys are the favorites because Dallas have a more balanced offense and a younger linebacking group.

Don't think it'll be quite as smooth a ride as that for Dallas. The Eagles were toe-to-toe with the Pats, only losing on bad decision by Feeley to go for the TD on 2nd down. No one gave us a hope of anything other than a heavy defeat.
At no point in that ball game were we out matched, except for 2 bad throws. Other than that, every Eagles player stepped up big time, even with Westbrook phased out slightly in 2nd half.
Feeley had a great game in between the 2 ints (3rd int was predictable), and our D played best game since SB season. We're gonna have heaps of confidence going into the stretch, and the Dallas game is by no means a long shot. Sure we need to prove we can be consistent, but who wants to play Eagles in playoffs if we're in this kinda form minus McNabb and full D?

The Eagles did indeed play extremely well last night, and they were very unlucky not to win.
The problem is that, so far this season, they've been far to inconsistent to repeat that performance every week. I can think of at least three occasions so far this year when the Eagles have played superbly one week and then absolutely stunk it up the next week. They will win more games this year and they have the potential to upset a few teams, but they'll have to become a lot more consistent if they want to make the playoffs. If they get there, then given their ability to play well they have a shot, but they will need to get there first.

Eagles' problem is that unlike the really great teams, like Patriots and Colts, our team can't cope with one or two players being injured or having a bad day.
Colts lost Harrison, and bunch of other guys, but Reggie Wayne and the others were still there. Pats couldn't get Moss into the game, but Wes Welker had a massive game. If Reggie Brown has a bad day and TJ Smith is out, that's asking a lot from Curtis and Westbrook. Ironically, the game after we lose McNabb, everyone steps up, but 1 bad play and it's over.
Our D has actually been pretty decent, given injuries and lack of experience. Considine, Mikell and Gaither have played well. But our O isn't putting up the points that our drives should merit. A lot of this came down to McNabb not having his 'goto guy' Smith who excels in the redzone and a young WR corp who haven't gelled yet.
One thing in our favour is that most of this team will be around for a good few years, obviously McNabb, Dawkins and a couple others only have a couple years left. I think that when Kolb eventually takes over (not next year) he'll have a pretty formidable O at his command. I remain optimistic-but-realistic about this season, but watching the new team take shape over the next few years should be good.

Call me slow, but i am just watching Green Bay Thanksgiving Day game, and i love the comment from Troy Aikman.
Score GB31 Det12 4th Quarter 12mins to go. GB incomplete pass 4th and goal. "Now if you were the New England Patriots, this is where you would go for it.".......love it Troy....Love it!

You should never lose interest in the season, you should look forward to seeing the playoffs even if your team isnt involved. Its the most exciting bit of the season. There is nothing else like it you win you go on you lose your season is over.

yeah scotty, not really lost interest, hell, Eagles could still make playoffs if we win all our remaining games - big IF but stranger things have happened (Oakland winning 4 games in a single season for 1)
we've not got the worst run in compared with Giants, Lions, Vikings and Cards who have better records.
5-7 Eagles: Giants, @dallas, @saints, Bills 8-4 Giants: @eagles, Skins, @bills, Pats 6-6 Lions: Dallas, @sd, Chiefs, @gb 6-6 Vikings: @49rs, Bears, Skins, @denver 6-6 Cards: @seattle, @saints, Falcons, Rams
9-7 could do it - plus we'd have better head to heads vs Lions, Vikings and Giants (if we win by 2 TDs) Ironically we'd need help from Dallas and Pats, but who knows?
hehe now I'm the 'desperate-optimistic'
