Alright folks, as we briefly discussed at training on Sunday some of us seem quite keen on gettin an indoor training session going at some point, most likely down at the new Sports Village. We will need to gauge interest in this as it will probably cost something like a 5er a head if we have 10 people confirmed, but that is an estimate. Thoughts?

SUP on the Bizzle Fizzle ma Dizzles!! ;D
What's the deal for training this weekend? still at Westburn Marshlands?
Been speaking to guys about the Sports Village and it looks like the problem is not the price (If we have a student/member at hand) but availability. The pitch is supposedly very busy and frequently booked up. We may have to try crack a deal with them and block book something. Even if we look to arrange something for the start of next year?

Good stuff Rye!..Or should I say T-Bone! Haha..Thanks for looking into that. What sort of times did they have available for block bookings? Do they need payment up front? More than happy to go for one provided everyone's ok with chipping in say a fiver each week for training there through the winter. Might be the case that we need to go for a random time so that we can manage to get a slot there but we can see what's best for people and take it from there. Is it only a Student that needs to book it to get the cheaper price (I.E. we don't all need to be students)? If so that's great as that was the one thing I was worried about! Cheers, Mike

Yeah sounds good and wouldn't mind the random time if it ended up being a week night, except for Wednesday as i'm playing real football

Mike,
I have called them and got a brief outline on the situation.
We can look to Block book 1/2 or 1/3 of the pitch and in order to receive a discount i.e 1/3 pitch for £35 we need at least half of our guys to have Student cards.
However, I have wrote an email to the management informing them we are a local team since 2003 looking to add to our previous success and progress as a team yadda yadda and that we are looking for any assistance from local businesses and organisations etc.
I also suggested that we may wish to use their outdoor pitches "Balgownie" for matches as well as other facilities, gym etc.
I will wait to see what reply we get. If we block book and build up a rapor with them we may get a team discount or something. We may get nothing but its worth a shot.

hey guys what is up? i'd deffo be interested in some winter/indoor training no longer a student, so I can't help on the discount front, but no worries about paying the £5 or whatever for training either way. as far as next year goes, I'll deffo be interested in getting back to Sunday training on a more regular basis. not too sure about whether i'd go as fas as playing next season, but i'd hope to stay involved as long as I'm based in the North East. still looking for a permanent job that probably won't be in Aberdeen, but have put off that search til the new year so I can chill and build up my portfolio. Currently looking for temp jobs in Aberdeen so I plan to be here for the next 3 months. If there's training on 20th, I might be there, but if not all the best for crimbo unless you're partial to the Cowboys in which case, may you crash and burn...

Guys
Still arranging the indoor training but I am speaking with the Admin Manager at Sports Village and it's going well.
They have just got back to work properly today so I am awaiting an email from them tomorrow with further details and if they are going to offer us a discount ( fingers crossed)
So should have something sorted in the next week or so.
