My work has an on-line bulletin board which I could advertise on for free to try and get players involved.
I don't want to just jump in though.
Mike / Dave / Scott Do you have a standard spiel regarding advertising for new players (a little about the type of football the oilcats are involved in etc). I can then put it on a power point or pdf and send it out. I will put my email down as a contact rather than Mike getting (potentially) a heap of calls / mails. unless you want that! Also, is there a decal that the oilcats use. I thought I saw a leopard type decal somewhere before but I might be completely wrong.
Cheers Marc

Nice one Marc, sounds good!
That would be great if you don't mind being the point of contact for it - I'm always happy to deal with people phoning/emailing but finding the time for it isn't always that easy so that would be good!
I'll email you accross some stuff tonight - we've got some posters, flyers, etc. that we've used in the past so I can just edit them to include your contact details.
Cheers,
Mike

Got the flyers through and sent out. Have had two responses in the first 5 minutes with people interested. One guy I work with from Venezuela and one guys I grew up with who used to play a bit.
Hopefully I can get them both along.

so far so good. Two guys from the base I work at should be coming on Sunday. Also had a response from two other guys based in Aberdeen but not at the same building as me. Not sure if we will see them this weekend but looks promising for them to turn up soon.
Not sure about the levels of experience. I think two have played before to varying degrees and the other two are relatively new to the game.

Mike, I got this question from a guy at SLB. Is there a junior training session? I know we had a few youngsters for a while but they seem to have disappeared. Can you let me know and I will speak to the guy. Cheers Marc
Hi Marc,
My 13-year-old son Neyas is interested - would you advise him to come along?
When did this season start?
Regards,
Narmada.

Yeah, the younger ones kinda dissappeared when the Baseball season started. Always happy to have people along to training, but obviously it's always better if they're going to be playing against people their own age. You could let him know about the Inchgarth Coaching Sessions that we do - they're every second Friday night at Inchgarth Community Centre from 7.15pm - 8.15pm. Paul (the guy that runs Inchgarth) has said in the past that he doesn't mind if we want to invite others along. Only thing is that we might not be doing it for a few weeks as the schools are on holiday so Inchgarth is pretty quiet on Friday nights at the moment.
Cheers,
Mike
