"Hammerheads Porter to be traded" Reports from Yahoo.com seem to suggest that Hammerheads' WR Jerry Porter could be set to find a new team. The Hammerheads' HC recently made it known that trade offers will be considered for the veteran WR. A like for like situation is the preferred deal. Interest throughout the OFL is unknown as yet but rumours persist that the Madill Wildcats are considering an approach. When asked about Porter, Coach Timmer replied 'He is the type of player with the experience and potential for success that this football team may benefit from.' Quizzed on the likelihood of a trade agreement '(a deal) depends on the mutual gains being equal.' More on this story as it develops.
a bit more 'realism' added to the OFL, tho Shaun should check his trades (hint, hint)

Following the earlier report, Wildcats coach has confirmed that a trade is now unlikely to happen after an approach made was rejected. Coach Timmer responded "Well, can't blame me for trying, but I'm confident we still have a strong team here".
and just like the pros, it leads to nothing hehe

A Report from Yahoo.com confirms that Hammerheads WR Jerry Porter will not be traded to the Madill Wildcats and will remain on the Hammerheads roster.
The Hammerheads held a press conference earlier; stating that a trade with the Wildcats was "Not in the pipeline", however reports are now circulating suggesting that Porter will soon be bound for Chokeland .
Coach Ahmed when asked why the trade with the Wildcats had fallen through; responded "Obviously we want a fair return value, and this was our biggest concern, unfortunately; we were unable to agree upon a workable medium"
When asked about the trade rumors with the Faders; Coach Ahmed replied "An offer has been made to us, we are considering our options at present"

Adam (up the Broncos) Schefter of NFL.com reports that disgruntled Hammerhead Jerry Porter refused a trade to the Madill Wildcats because of distaste for their putrid lemon and cornflower blue "throw back" (throw up?) uniforms. Speaking on condition of anonymity, a member of the Chokeland front office familiar with the process has confirmed that an offer has been made to the Hammerheads to acquire the services of under performing WR Jerry Porter. The package offered apparently includes a star player, a conditional draft pick in 2008, and a cheeseburger on the bus home from Airdrie on Sunday. Rumors are sweeping the League that a five team deal could be part of the proposed trade, which would see Vince Young finally signing for the Bucksburn Patriots, and Commissioner Mike Scott acquiring all remaining Pit Bulls (and betting rights) from Michael Vick's "Bad Newz Kennels"!

After their failed attempt to lure WR Jerry Porter from the Hatton Hammerheads, it has emerged that Madill Wildcats are still interested in striking a deal with any interested party.
A Wildcats spokesman confirmed that the team is currently looking to use one of there surplus Defensive Backs in return for more quality depth on Offence. This announcement follows the notable signing of CB Charles Woodson as a free agent.
Earlier in the day Coach Timmer admitted that he was surprised such a quality player was available. After a disappointing first 2 games, Woodson turned in a solid performance in last weeks win over San Diego
Wildcats are also in the market for a decent WR in return for one of their now surplus DBs with RBs Jones and 'the Edge' as potential sweeteners. Such a trade would have to be balanced by the WR and RB in question.
