Well I've finally worked out where i'll be going to uni this september. Will be going to University of Abertay to study Computing (Games Development). Not trying to rub it in or anything. Just saying that I'll still be able to make games and training for Oilcats. See you on Sunday.

Okay, my accommodation is just about sorted, i'll be away on 11th September moving in, so I obviously won't be available then. Also, since I'll be in dundee, mid-week practices are pretty much impossible for me to get to. If they're afternoons, I could only make it if I have no classes, and if they're evenings, then I might not get back to Dundee til late. We'll see how things are, could end up being okay for one or two, but don't count on it. Getting to games and weekend training should still be fine though. anyway neil, didn't you just take up more space with that reply?

not really, as u have developed a completely new thread on our board neil just added onto it,
bit like having 10 bits of paper you took a fresh sheet (neils point) leaving 9 and neil just added a line to yours

true, but the main reason was that the other post seemed to have a bit too much negative stuff in it, I didn't want to appear to be rubbing it in that I have a place at uni. I wanted to make it an entirely fresh thread that was more factual than boasting anyway, since this is a WEBpage means that no matter what thread I posted the info on, it would still take up the same amount of space as far as bytes and kilobytes goes. so it's like taking a sheet that has something on it, flipping it over and using the other side, sure it could have been put on the same side as the rest. but since it's on the same sheet of paper, it doesn't waste another blank sheet. then neil adds something to it wasting valuable ink

Hmm me thinks this thread is getting a bit too metaphorical for the ickle hamster inside my brain. Bottom line is well done Marc for getting into Uni, good to hear you'll be with us next season; Gary you're too clever and Neil..Well Neil..Just come play Pro Evski! Mikey

Okay now this post is purely about boasting. (It's also a bit long, you have been warned ) I've got a brand new PC Got it in PC World, best thing is it was an absolute bargain. I originally go in to buy a few components, processor, hard drives, etc. I intended to put a PC together myself with a budget of about £500. (here comes the slightly tech-ie bit) With the money I had I could afford a 3.0GHz P$4 processor, 80GB hard drive, 512MB memory, and a few other basics, plus an ok graphics card. Then I come across a PC that's on offer for £700, it seems pretty good, but it's out of my price range. I then ask if I had to take the monitor along with it, since I have a decent one already. I was told I could buy base unit itself for only £520, which was in my price area. The thing about this PC is, it has a 3.4GHz processor, 250GB Hard Drive, 1GB memory, plus a better graphics card. A PC like this is usually £700 on its own, even without a monitor. So I left the store feeling chuffed at getting a lot more than what I thought I would get for the price. Now I have a PC that's top of the range, rather than alright but not great. Just need to start packing, then I'm off.

theres a reason why it was a bargain, it was from PC World. The service in there is appauling, so if you have any problems with it, dont go back to PC World, believe me!

Adam, you should know by now i can't say something without making a story you should be glad i haven't made a post about all the eventful things that happened when i was in germany. Would be easier writing a novel. (something I actually consider doing, it was that much of an adventure)

Even that couldn't cover it, plus we were in Berlin for the first 2 days, so it's not the gals you have to worry about....if you get what I'm saying.....let's just say there's a lot of 'happy' people in berlin. (Not that I have a problem with it, they're just a little bit more open about it than in UK. I'll try to sum it up in a few sentances Okay, here goes: Was planned 3 years in advance, absolutley nothing went to plan. Plenty CHEAP drink , still get ID-ed in an Irish Pub . Had great time, good parties, 32 good friends. Had heart ripped out, stomped on, then put together carefully til better than before. Hot during day, freezing at night. 6 days without luggage. All in all, best experience of my life, definately doing next one. It's in Sydney in 2008, should be even better. THE END Oh well, it's not too long. 8 sentances out of something that could be 8 pages long to do it justice.
