not if he loses another 5 goals. mind you, it was Mo Camara to blame for 4 of them, for a defender he has rather an odd lack of ANY defensive skills. what really annoys me is the fact that since I'll be at uni in glasgow, I was looking forward to going to some european games, after missing out on Juventus, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Valencia, etc. After this Celtic will be lucky to get past 3rd round of Scottish Cup.

Hang on just a tiny sec. Its his first game in charge, and lets face it, he's got a big role to try and fill after the departure of O'Neil. At least give him until half way through the season before you pass judgement. One game and there calling for his head, its absolutely rediculous! At least give him a chance!

yeah I know, I'm a Celtic supporter, faithful through and through, etc. I'm not wanting rid of him, and I know full well he's got a tough time ahead trying to be as successful as O'Neil. I'm just saying from his point of view, after the match he must have thought 'what have I gotten myself into'. It's the scottish papers calling for him to be axed. They hounded Martin O'Neil when we lost 3-0 to Porto in champions league a couple of years ago, and he lead Celtic to Uefa Cup Final in 2003. i'm not too down hearted, the main goal for this season anyway was to get the title back. And the fact is, anything can happen at Parkhead. Celtic are quite capable of scoring 6 there. Aren't they Scott? I think it would be best if they put Aliadiere on to start with, he almost turned the game around before it blew up in our face. As for the other signings, they'll be fine. Once they get a few league games under their belts, then they'll get better. Zurawski will be a decent player once he finds the back of the net, and the Japanese playmaker should and a bit of spark. Anyway, without another long European campaign, we won't play as many games as past few seasons. As we say, always look on the bright side of life.

Couldn't agree more with ya Neil..The result was a shocker but it's Strachan's first competitive game in charge with a completely different team from last season..I agree with Marc that Aliadiere will hopefully start..And Nakamura sounds like a quality player from what I've read about him. It's gonna take a wee bit of time before Celtic are strong in Europe again because they need to rebuild but they will get there and in the meantime they'll still do well in the league

not after tonight's performance after those inspired changes, who could doubt Strachan's coaching skills? Puts Maloney on, he sets up the third goal and nearly scores 5th. Puts Beattie on, scores forth and hits post. As for title, to be honest, after Well's 4th I thought, it's gonna be Rangers for sure. But when Beattie scored equaliser, I thought, we might be able to at least keep it close. I was always optimistic that Celtic might come close tonight. Celtic have been renowned in past seasons to over come odds. After tonight's inspired performance, I know feel that Celtic could get title back. If Rangers have a long time in Europe, i think Celtic will outlast them, just like Rangers did in 2003, Celtic just faded after long Uefa Cup run. It will all hinge on the Old Firm game in a couple of weeks. If Rangers win, they may just hang on. If it's a draw, it'll be as tight as last season. But if Celtic win, then I can't see them losing title again. If Celtic can play more games at their best, then no one will stop them. I think it's been proven, (though Scott may deny it) that Celtic at their absolute best, are better than Rangers at their best. Celtic just have that extra class that they can sometimes reach, after the experiences in Europe. They've beaten the top sides in Europe, and even when beaten, have usually given there best (last week is an exception). Rangers just haven't had as much experience in past couple of years of playing other top sides apart from Celtic. If they have a decent run this year, then they'll reap the benefits next year and be even better.
