Now the Eagles sign a convicted felon are they in competion with the Raiders for signing players with crimnal records or should i say off field problems because that sounds better.

To be Honest, I can't see him winning the starting position off McNabb so I think that the only way Vick will start is if McNabb goes down with an injury. That being said, if he starts on Dec 6th, I hope John Abraham hits him so hard that he needs to be carted off the field.

Surprised that it was the Eagles that picked him up, but it was only a matter of time before someone took a chance on him. Yeah he made a BIG mistake, but he's served his time and should be given the chance to move on from it and, whilst it leaves a stain on his past, it should not have to define his future and what he can do.
The PETA protesters will shout, and that's something that he's going to just have to deal with..Although hopefully they begin to see (and he can show them) that he deserves a second chance.
As for his role with the Eagles, I think he provides an experienced back-up for McNabb, but more to the point gives them another dimension to their offense. With the Wildcat being in vogue Vick (provided he can still do the things on the field that he could a few years ago) is the type of player that the Wildcat offense was made for and that's how I see the Eagles using Vick this year.
